Night skies and city gardens is a multimedia installation consisting of flower bouquets collected from various cruising spaces in Vienna arranged with sculptural elements that are a reflection of the architecture of those public yet secret meeting points. Posters with text to take away, one which was written by artist Anna Rimmel, address notions of desire, memory and physicality in relation to those environments.
An ambient sound piece ties the different elements together and creates a dystopian yet romantic scenery within the exhibition space that is both site specific as well as imaginary.
The installation is activated by Anna Rimmel and Lukas Gritzner performing their poems AND IT COMES BACK and night skies and city gardens.
